Golf - WGC Bridgestone Invitational Tips

The WGC Bridgestone Invititational will be played at Firestone Country Club on Thursday 30th June 2016. It's usually contested on August but has been brought forward earlier due to the olympics

Top names such as Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson will be teeing it up this week but I don't fancy any of these guys to win it which is why I have went with 2 underdogs to watch for.

The course is a 7400 Yard Par 70 will test the best of golfers as not only is distance needed but more importantly the ability to hit greens in regulation will be crucial.

I have taken this into account when studying to find a winner and have not only studied driving distance but a combination of other stats and discovered which golfer is best suited to this daunting golf course.

Chunter's Auen Predictions

Jason Dufner 35/1 e/w - He has two top 10's in his last 3 events played one of which a T8 at the US open last week. Dufner is ranked 7th in Greens in regulation this season which is one the crucial factors to look out for when choosing a winner in the field. If Dufner plays to his full potential then these odds are a steal as he is more than capable of winning this event if he performs.

Hideki Matsuyama 33/1 e/w - Another guy I'm a major fan of is Matsuyama this guy has tons of potential. I am basing this prediction on a lot of extinct but has a green in regulation of 68.52% which is ranked 25th and an impressive birdie average of 4.53 ranked 4th he could be a good outsider. If Matsuyama can stay fully focused and limit drop shots then he could be an excellent candidate to win this event.
